Lr enfuse vs photoshop11/9/2022 ![]() ![]() I'll try to be better about updating that stuff when I post to the pool. Yes I use Photomatix to tone map (HDR) my images. ![]() Please say whether your using Fusion or HDR please!! I was hand blending via layers in PS which looked better but was far too time consuming - I will still do it on the higher end stuff but not for your average suburban home. If there is a view, I will also mask in windows from an appropriate exposure. I use Exposure Blend in Photomatix followed by curves adjustments, sharpening and upping the contrast a bit. Jake: Good idea, I looked into it, but doesn't look like either app exports applescript events to enable applescripting to work. I usually lighten midtones and darken blacks slightly to finish the image. I found the LR/Enfuse settings that work best for me are Exposure=1, Saturation=0, Contrast=0. If I care about the view and want a real window I blend in a darker image on the windows. I use all three exposures to give a little more pull (very subtle) in windows and lights. I take -2/0/+2, sometimes I process just -2/+2 to give a little lighter result if I don't care about the windows as much. To improve speed, I turn off align images - that takes too damn long. The batch mode is really attractive to speed post. Jeremy Esland edited this topic ages ago.Īllen, I've started using LR/Enfuse and like the natural results. Photomatix took the mathematics and wrote their own app.ĮDIT: oops, sorry: I use EnfuseGUI now, but I change horses on a regular basis, as soon as something better pops up. What you have is different front-ends for Enfuse - Bracketeer, EnfuseGUI, XFuse, LR/Enfuse, etc. There is only one Enfuse (and one Tufuse, but it's mostly the same). In this instance, is someone able to summarize the differences including "under the hood" and differences in interface and plug-in capabilities.Ī GMC and a Chevy Blazer were the same vehicle with different name In past posts it's been suggested that "all" of these (Photomatix, Enfuse,īracketeer, TuFuse) are basically the same, with minor differences What's bugging me is that the mac version of ptlens has no command-line mode so I can't automatically correct for lens distortion from my script. Reminiscent insurance edited this topic ages ago.Ĭommand-line enfuse executed by a perl script Perhaps there have been some major changes to Enfuse in the past 6 months in terms of ease of operation with the Lightroom plug in? Photomatix provides HDR and exposure fusion in one program which plugs into Lightroom, and it seems to give me all of the controls I need. You could add something like Bracketeer to the standalone version, but that puts Lightroom out of the picture. That is, it was very hard to change the settings and see the results of the changes. Yes, Enfuse does have a LR plug in, but when I last tried that it seemed very cumbersome to use. I use Lightroom, so I tend to like things that plug in to that. Please restrain the impulse to say why someone else's method sucks.Įnfuse sucks and anyone who uses it. It would be nice to know everyone's preferred method to get an idea of their popularity. ![]() After looking into most of the main methods/programs of hdr and blending, I've settled on using LR/Enfuse. ![]()
